My pets

I know I don't talk a whole lot about my personal life. I have two cats and two dogs. While it can be annoying taking care of animals sometimes, it can be kinda fun buying dog and cat supplies. Well, I suppose they would be classified more as 'toys' than 'supplies.' Though I also love buying them different kinds of foods as treats. For example, my cats occasionally get a can of wet cat food as a treat. I don't buy it very often. Maybe once every other month or so. It's just fun to watch them enjoy it so much! The dogs are too easy. They just get bones. It's much more difficult to make a cat happy.

TV review: Knight Rider

I've been putting off talking about this show. Mostly because I know people can get overly emotional (and by that I mean 'angry') when shows from their childhood are remade. I was a big fan of the original Knight Rider series when I was younger. So I was skeptical when a new version was announced. After all, would it still be the same lovable show without the cheesiness that is David Hasselhoff? No worries, my friends. The updated version of the show is different but that is a good thing. It is a little more serious and a little more technical. However, those are things that make the show awesome. Since special effects are amazing nowadays, KITT can do just about anything. I'm really looking forward to what will happen on the show. Especially if the rumors are true and David Hasselhoff comes back with the old KITT.

Babies don't need pillows

I must be some sort of female anomaly. When my daughter was a baby, she didn't have anything extravagant in her bedroom. I figured that most baby bedrooms were similar. However, I recently found that some baby bedding goes completely over the top! Babies don't need tons of pillows all over the place or little chairs. Save those for when the kid grows up a little! This reminds me, I should find some time to try to take my daughter shopping for some bedroom items to decorate her room a bit. It's getting kind of boring.

TV review: Heroes season 3

Despite a terrible second season due to last year's writers strike, the third season of Heroes debuted with a two-hour premiere last night. As a whole, I didn't think it was too bad. There were some "What the hell" moments where I wanted to reach into the television and smack a few characters upside the head. I guess that just goes with the series overall. I'm interested to see what they do with the villains this season. To be honest, I'm finding our heroes (specifically Claire and Nathan) rather boring. They need to do something to step it up a bit. They've had plenty of time to get used to having powers. I'm ready for them to stop whining about it now. I wish I could say I have high hopes for this show. I'm really just hoping they don't screw it up.

Game review: Forgotten Riddles: The Moonlight Sonatas

Last year, I enjoyedForgotten Riddles: The Mayan Princess. While I want to call Forgotten Riddles: The Moonlight Sonatas a sequel, it doesn't quite fit since there isn't a combining story arc. The basic game play is the same but with a completely different storyline. Like last time, you have to solve riddles in order to find many of the objects. Some of the riddles are very easy and some of them require a bit more thought. Either way, I still find this an ingenious way of spicing up the hidden object genre. I also find myself looking forward to the next incarnation of the game. They've tackled Mayan history and music - what will be next?

Franchises

For someone looking to be their own boss, sometimes franchise opportunities are the thing to look into. You get to be your own boss yet you usually still have a safety net of a big corporation. Of course, some franchises aren't as good as others so you need to be sure to do all of your research before plunging headfirst into it. Otherwise, you might find yourself in way too deep with few options of getting out.

TV Review: The Fringe

I've been trying to hold off on talking about J.J. Abrams' new show Fringe. Partially because I don't really know what to say about it and partially because I don't want to jinx it. The show stars Joshua Jackson as Peter Bishop, the genius son of the scientific genius Walter Bishop, played by John Noble. Anna Torv plays Agent Olivia Dunham, an FBI agent scouted by Homeland Security to help deal with these new scientific phenomenon that are occurring all over the place. Unfortunately, Walter had been locked in a mental institution for 17 years and, while he is still brilliant, he's not quite all there. There's a lot that is going on in the show. Relationships between people change just about every episode (and there's only been 2 so far!); science is seen from new perspectives; the impossible is possible if you think hard enough. I really do enjoy the show a lot but I am nervous. After all, it is on Fox and they don't have the best track record of keeping good shows on the air. I hope that it will at least make it through the season.

is back acne the same as facial acne?

Sometimes I have weird thoughts. This morning's thought was "Would a normal acne treatment work on back zits?" Yeah, I know, it's a gross thing to think about but I can't help it. My mind wanders into strange territory sometimes. And, really, the same thing that causes facial acne should be the same thing that causes back acne, right? So, in theory the treatment should work the same on either place on the body. Right?
