I know I haven't posted in awhile. I just don't have anything to talk about. Sorry. Today I will give you an interview with a (supposed) ex-employee of a visual kei record label. It is a very long interview and I'm not really sure how true it is. (I would venture to guess about 50% is true and 50% is made up.) But it is an interesting read anyway. Even if it is all fake. The Long Interview
What a beautiful day
For once, it was a gorgeous day out. Instead of sitting around the house watching my LCD TV, I went out with my sister and her boyfriend to do some shopping. None of bought much of anything. It was just nice to get out of the house and not be surrounded by snow or need to bundle up. It's the first day in months that I could go outside without a jacket. I'm ready for you summertime!
Updating the house
My husband recently replaced the faucet in our kitchen. It would leak badly every time we'd use the dishwasher. Now I've turned my attention to the bathroom. So far, everything is still working properly. However, it looks like it belongs in the late 70s. A new sink and perhaps one of the Toto toilets would help. And either a new carpet or some tiling instead. Anything would be better than what is there now.
No swimsuits!
AH! I just realized that it'll be swimsuit season really soon. I love the summer but I hate swimsuits. They make me feel like a whale. And I'm not fond of weight loss diet supplement things because they aren't really healthy for you. I know weight loss isn't supposed to be easy. It would just be nice if it were EASIER. Doing a lot of work without seeing any results is depressing.
Skin problems
The winter made my skin dry, which was gross but easy enough to deal with. Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I'm beginning to break out again. I'm not sure if I should start some complicated regimen or just buy a tube of tretinoin and do spot treatments. It's not my entire face. It's mostly the t-zone area. Well, less my forehead and more my cheeks and nose. The I-area? Help!
Favorite Friday
My husband and I were watching World's Dumbest... last night. Our favorite episode was actually World's Dumbest Smartest Inventions. Surprisingly, there weren't a ton of fat burning products, but our favorite product did fall into that category. It's called the Hawaii Chair. It's basically a chair with a swiveling seat that is supposed to simulate hula dancing. Somehow this translates into SUPER ABS. Anyway, it is awesome and I kinda want to try one.
No more polls
Since no one has been answering the Wednesday Polls for awhile, I think I will do away with that feature. I'll try to figure out something to fill the space. Brainstorm with me! On an unrelated note, I'll be heading off to get my haircut in a few weeks. I need to decide what type of style I want. My hair is already pretty short (about chin-length) and it's very curly. Does anyone have any favorite websites to look for hairstyles? I wonder if the stylist will talk about hair loss prevention since I shed a lot. There is tons and tons of hair on the top of my head so, trust me, I'm not in risk of going bald or anything. Some people just freak out when they see how much hair I lose.
Party favors
I was a bit busy yesterday trying to get the final preparations done for my daughter's birthday party this weekend. My least favorite part of party planning is the party favor bags. I never know what to put in them! Too much candy is no good, I know a lot of the kids get enough candy as it is. Maybe a couple of those chocolate gold coins, funny erasers, and those little plastic ring things. I'm ready for my daughter to be old enough to be done with favor bags.
Movie review: Zombieland

The basic premise is that a virus has taken over the world. Almost everyone has turned into zombies. All of the characters (except for one well-placed cameo) are named after cities. The main character is called Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), since he is heading there to see if his parents are still alive. On the way, he meets Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), a rather violent yet fun-loving guy in search of a mere Twinkie. Eventually, two sisters, Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), finish out the group. Together, they head toward California's Pacific Playland, where the sisters believe there are no zombies.
Zombieland is absolutely hysterical. I laughed my entire way through it. My husband was right. Everyone should see this movie. Even if you hate zombies, I'm pretty sure this will still be your new favorite film.
Movie review: Surrogates

At first, I had no desire to see this movie. My husband, however, did so I plopped next to him on the couch when he put the DVD in the player. I was really surprised how good it was! There was quite a bit of discussion between us about whether a surrogate robot would be a good idea. And, while we weren't completely surprised at any of the 'twists,' we found great enjoyment from the journey the characters took. Even the ending was satisfying. I can't say it was an awesomely fantastic movie that everyone should run out to rent or buy, but if you like science fiction and have a couple of hours to spare, it's not a terrible way to spend your time.
